Multiple crews respond to house fire near Kasota

KASOTA, Minn. (KEYC) - Emergency crews responding to a fire which broke out this morning in Kasota Township.
The fire started just after 9 a.m. and was still active as of 2 p.m. today according to Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say the fire fully engulfed the basement of the home at 33201 Shanaska Creek Road.
Three people were inside the home at the time of the fire and were able to make it out safely.
Ambulance services monitored the residents for smoke inhalation at the scene.
Kasota’s fire department was assisted by four other local fire departments, including Cleveland, St. Peter, LeCenter and North Mankato, along with Le Center Ambulance Service.
